Batching, Multi-send, and Bulk Send
Legalesign supports several ways to send more than one document or more than one recipient workflow. These are related, but they are not the same thing.
Batch
Batching groups multiple documents into one package so recipients can move through them together.
Use batching when:
- the same recipients need to work through several documents as one flow
- document order matters
- you want one grouped experience rather than separate independent sends
Multi-send
Multi-send is about sending multiple documents at the same time without turning them into one combined batch experience.
Use it when:
- the documents should be sent together operationally
- the documents do not need to behave as one grouped signing package
Bulk send
Bulk send is designed for high-volume dispatch, usually driven by CSV input and repeated personalization across many recipients.
Use it when:
- the same template or workflow is being sent to many recipients
- sender fields or reserved CSV headings are used to personalize each copy
- throughput matters more than manual setup
Choosing between them
Use this simple rule:
- choose batching when one recipient journey spans multiple documents
- choose multi-send when several documents are being sent together but remain operationally separate
- choose bulk send when the same process is being dispatched at scale to many recipients
